Creating an online business is not for the weak at heart. It takes determination, grit, a willingness to push past all the fear that comes up and the ability to not care what others think of you or what you’re trying to create. 

So the fact that you’re here, reading this tells me your boss babe. You’re going after your dreams and no matter how many times you get knocked down you’re getting back up. Heck, if I didn’t have this mind mentality I wouldn’t be here for you.

Build your list!

 

You see, your list is yours. No one can take it away from you. There’s no algorithms to complete with. It may not be as sexy as the gram but I’m telling you it will build your business on solid foundation. 

When you know exactly who your dreamy client is and how you can help move them along in their journey, something magical happens. Things start clicking and falling into place. You get heaps of mojo behind you and building your list becomes easier. For me and my business I struggled for a long time with building my list. To be honest,  I didn’t put much effort into it at all in the beginning and my business suffered. When I paired things back and got super clear on who my dreamy client was and the pain point I’m helping solve for them it was easy. It was easy talking directly to them. The first weekend I posted in one Facebook group and in 24hrs I grew my email list by more than 50%. This is why i’m so passionate about helping other ladies , just like you build your list.

An opt-in, AKA freebie, lead magnet, is something you offer for free in exchange for their email. Now don’t get it twisted, you’re opt-in needs to speak to your dreamy client. It has to hit hard into their pain point and offer a solution that makes them think, hell yes, this is exactly what I need right now. 

You don’t need to be a designer to create an opt-in (thank you Canva) and it doesn’t need to take forever. In fact, if you find yourself stalling then you’re getting too in your head and need to stop. You can totally create an opt-in in a couple of days. The key is you need to know exactly who you’re talking to (dreamy client), what problem your opt-in is going to solve, and what style of opt-in is going to best deliver these results. 

I hope this has the wheels turning. Your action step is to grab a piece of paper or create a Trello board and start brainstorming what your dreamy clients are struggling with.
